Introduction Workshop Shamatha Meditation

In this introduction workshop Yogi Lama Choenyi will explain the basic Meditation of Shamatha.

Shamatha Meditation means calm abiding. Some traditions speak of two types of meditation: analysing meditation (Vipassana) and calm meditation (Shamatha).

Yogi Lama Choenyi will explain the physical and mental steps of how to learn Shamatha meditation, which is connected to set your mind towards the right motivation and concentration. The guiding principle for the practice is, “Not too tight, not too loose.”

Teacher Lama Choenyi

Yogi Lama Choenyi was born in 1968 in the Himalaya of Tibet.

At the age of 21, he studied Tibetan Buddhism at several monasteries, this is called Dharma.
