The Barre Workout focusses on building stamina, flexibility and strength. It combines ballet-inspired movements with Pilates to create a fierce workout to upbeat music! In a Barre workout class you will start with a lively cardio warming up in the center, after which we move to the barre and then back to the mats in the center. Every Barre workout class ends with a nice stretching session. Our Barre workout covers the main muscle groups that are important for dancing and daily usage. With little or no equipment involved it will create definition in your arms and legs, build a strong core and enhance your posture and proper alignment. The exercises often make use of your own body weight and isometric muscle contraction, i.e. holding or pulsing your muscles in a certain position. Isometric muscle contraction minimizes stress on the joints and keeps the muscles lean and lengthened. The Barre workout class is suited for all fitness levels, but prepare yourself for a fierce workout!
